Preparation for reconstruction of water supply systems of Gusar, Khachmaz and Khizi districts are carried out.

    The bidding on reconstruction of water supply systems some parts of Gusar, Khachmaz and Khizi in the frame of “Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project” financed by the Government of Azerbaijan and Japan International Cooperation Agency was finished and “Azersutechizattikinti” OJSC was the successful bidder. In this regard a contractor agreement was signed between “Azersu” OJSC and “Azersutechizattikinti” OJSC and preparation for construction works has begun. Inauguration ceremony on these projects is planned to be held within the framework of Japan International Cooperation Agency delegations’ expected visit to our country. Under the project water supply and sewerage systems of Gusar, Khachmaz and Khizi will be reconstructed completely. Construction and installation works are planned to be completed as of the end 2014.

   Note that “Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project” financed by the Government of Azerbaijan and Japan International Cooperation Agency is aimed at reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems of 10 city and district center (Salyan, Shirvan, Neftchala, Barda, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, Naftalan, Khizi, Gusar and Gobustan). A loan agreement on “Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project” was signed on May 29, 2009 between the Azerbaijani Government and Japan International Cooperation Agency and according to the agreement Japan International Cooperation Agency will allocate a loan in amount of 32,8 billion Japan yen (USD 400 million) for works will be done in 10 cities and district centers.
