“Azersu” OJSC continues Action plan for improvement water supply and sewerage systems of Baku and its settlements. In accordance with Action plan construction of a new transmission main has begun in the 2nd Zabrat residential area in Sabunchu district in Baku. According to the project 5,6km long water line (DN=500mm) is laid by polyethylene pipes to Zabrat settlement from transmission (DN=1200mm) passing through Sabunchu area and will be connected to distributional lines. 2 Nos pumping stations are planned to be built on the transmission main in order to ensure normal delivery of drinking water in summer. Drinking water will be distributed from this source to the settlements along transmission main. With this purpose at the same time additional water line (DN=200mm) will be laid. In accordance with the Action plan construction works will be completed as of May. With this water supply of over 10000 residents will be improved.

It should noted that currently steel pipe (DN=500mm) does not meet the requirements to water because of corrosion and obsolescence and causes problems in drinking water. The old one will be cancelled after operation of new water pipeline.
