A new disinfectant of drinking water was presented

   “Azersu” OJSC pays special attention to further development of drinking water quality. With this purpose the last technology and advanced practices of foreign countries is learned.

   The experts of Ural Scientific-Research Chemistry Institute and Experimental Plant in the city of Yekaterinburg of the Russian Federation were in “Azersu” OJSC and presented the new disinfectant for disposal of drinking water. It was noted in the meeting that Chlorine Dioxide obtained from “DX-100” processing plant and chlorine replaced liquid chlorine is more effective. This matter is used 6-20 times less density than liquid chlorine. Chlorine dioxide with high disinfection capacity and chlorine matter has strong impact on bacteria and viruses. This matter does not formed chlorine-containing compounds and improves the taste of water eliminating the unpleasant odor and color of water. At the same time increases the degree of purification of water from iron and manganese. Chlorine dioxide and chlorine prevent the recontamination of water keeping its effectiveness 7-10 days in distributional networks. In addition in contrast to liquid chloride there is no need to establish a sanitary protection zone.

   It should be noted that presently water is delivered to consumers after technologically treatment in Water Treatment Plant.
