“Azersu” OJSC held a meeting with the delegation of the Asia Development Bank (ADB).

    A meeting was held with the delegation led by Anand Chiplunkar, director of Central and West Asia Department (CWRD) in “Azersu” OJSC. The chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov appreciated the close participation of the Asia Development Bank in the investment project carried out in Azerbaijan and spoke about the successfully implementation of these projects financed by the loan of the ADB under “Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Investment Project”.

    Anand Chiplunkar director of CWRD expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan and noted that the organization which represents is interested to take part in the projects of reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system of Azerbaijan.

   In the meeting the implementation and financing of “Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Investment Project”, staff training and future cooperation issues were discussed.

   Agdash and Goychay Water Intake Plants Compound were constructed in the first phase of “Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Investment Project” financed by the participation share of the Government of Azerbaijan and the loan of Asia Development Bank (ADB). In the frame of the second phase reconstruction of water supply and sewerage networks is planned to be carried out. The bidding announced on these 3 towns will be finished by the end of April. In the third phase of the project financed by the loan of ADB water supply and sewerage systems of Agjabadi and Balakan will be reconstructed. According to the preliminary agreement works on the first and second phases are intended to be completed for the current year.
