"Azersu" OJSC held a meeting with a delegation of the Export-Import Bank of Korean

  On 28 February a meeting was held with the delegations of Export-Import Bank of Korean in “Azersu” OJSC.  The head of Foreign Relations Division of “Azersu” OJSC Ilgar Tagiyev appreciated the close participation of the Government of Korean and companies in the investment project carried out and spoke about the successfully implementation of these projects.

   The environmental expert of Export-Import Bank of Korean on Jon Su Yun expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan and noted that the Government of Korean will support projects on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the future.

   In the meeting financial issues on “Pirshagi Water Treatment Plant construction project” were discussed. The Government of Korean is to allocate a soft loan in amount of US$ 43, 5 mln. The soft loan is intended to be allocated for 40 years with 0,2% for a year. The rest of the project with total value of US$ 60mln will be carried out at the expanse of Azerbaijan.

  It should be noted that “Pirshagi Water Treatment Plant construction project” intends to improve the sewerage system of Pirshagi settlement. In the frame of the project a water treatment plant with a capacity of 40000m3 will be constructed in the settlement.  Water after treatment in the water treatment plant that will be constructed on the base of modern technology will be used for irrigation.

   Recall that reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage in Kurdakhani settlement will be carried out at the expanse of the grant allocated by KOICA. According to the Grant Agreement that signed between “Azersu” OJSC and KOICA on 14 October, 2011 the Government of Korean will allocate a grant in amount of US $ 26,18 mln. The remaining cost of the project will be provided by the Government of Azerbaijan as an additional funding. At the expanse of the grant allocated by Korean 2 Nos reservoirs, pumping station will be constructed and 24,8km long sewerage line will be laid in Kurdakhani.
