"Azersu" OJSC held a meeting with the delegation of the World Bank

     On February 15 “Azersu” OJSC held a meeting on supporting the implementation of National Water Supply and Sewerage Service projects and proposed Hovsan Wastewater Outfall project with the purpose of carrying negotiations with the delegation of World Bank visit to Azerbaijan. Highly appreciating the participation the World Bank (WB) in the investment project carried out in Azerbaijan the chairman of “Azersu” OJSC stated that the projects financed by loans of WB are being implemented successfully.

     Manuel Marino, head of the delegation of WB expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan and noted that World Bank will support the reconstruction of the water supply and sewerage systems projects in the future.

    At the meeting institutional strengthening component, preparation of Regional Development Program of Baku city, Hovsan Wastewater Outfall project and other prospective project were discussed and exchanged views on future cooperation.

    It should be noted that “National Water Supply and Sewerage System Project” is carried out in the frame of Loan Agreement signed between the Government of Azerbaijan Republic and World Bank (WB). World Bank allocated a loan for implementation of reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems of Shamakhi, Gabala, Saatli and Sabirabad regions.
