Water supply and sewerage systems in Azerbaijan will be constructed on a global level

      President Ilham Aliyev has chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of socioeconomic development in 2011 and objectives for 2012 on January 16. Stating at the meeting President Ilham Aliyev noted that social and economical duties were implemented successfully our country in 2011. The head of state appreciated the work done on water supply and sanitation projects declaring that will be continued in 2012 too: “I would like to draw special attention to drinking water supply and sewerage system in our country. Because previous times great works were carried out in the sectors of electric energy, generation systems, gasification. Of course, these works are being continued, I will speak about it. However drinking water and sewerage projects were a little light air. Presently this area is drawn special attention and works on this sector are carried out successfully. Modern management systems and methods are applied in water sector. It is widely used in world practice. Now, drinking water and sewerage systems projects begins or under preparation.

         Last year we had a task on main projects would be resolved and implemented by 2013. If we achieve that by the end of 2013 all regional centers cities will be supplied on a continued basis with high quality, clean drinking water and sewerage systems that will be installed on a global level that never been in the history. I am pleased with this works done in 2011. There are funds, and will be considered in the State Investment Program. Thus some part of works will be implemented in 2012.

         President Ilham Aliyev also emphasized that implementation of works on other infrastructure projects such as in the areas of electric energy, gasification, melioration, telecommunication, road sector and construction of social objects will be continued in 2012 too.
