Water supply systems were put into operation in villages of Shamakhi and Balakan.

         “Azersu” OJSC pays special attention to improvement of water supply of population in rural settlements. With this purpose implementation of new project has begun in some regions in 2011. On the eve of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year water supply systems of Tulu and Hanifa villages of Balakan were put into operation. In the ceremony with this regard the chairman of “United Sukanal” LLC of “Azersu” OJSC Etibar Mammadov stated that cautions on improvement of water supply in cities and centers of regions as well as villages and settlements are carried out. According to the Action Plans approved by Stock Company 1 Nos artesian well was dug and 2350m long water line was laid with the purpose of improvement of water supply system of population suffering from lack of water in Hanifa village of Balakan. At the same time 1 Nos subartesian well was dug, water tank with capacity of 10m3 was installed and 750m long water line was laid for supplying population of Tulu village on continuing basis with quality drinking water. Drinking water problem of over 600 residents of Tulu and Hanifa villages was solved as a result of works done at expense of internal operation costs of “Azersu” OJSC.

         Opening ceremony on putting into operation of water supply system in Sabir settlement of Shamakhi region which suffering from lack of water was held in accordance of Action Plan approved by “Azersu” OJSC. According to the words of the chairman of “United Sukanal” LLC Etibar Mammadov a subartesian well was dug, more than 2km long water line was laid in Sabir region in accordance with “State Program on socio-economical development of the regions”. During the implementation of the project state of distribution lines was checked and water meter were installed for subscribers for providing delivering of water to consumers. As a result of works done at expense of internal operation costs of “Azersu” OJSC water supply of over 3000 people was improved.
