The project of establishment of water supply and sanitation system in Kurdakhani settlement was presented.

       “Establishment of water supply and sanitation system in Kurdakhani settlement in the Absheron Peninsula” project of “Azersu” OJSC and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was presented on December 20. It was noted in the ceremony that an agreement on solution project was obtained between “Azersu” OJSC and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for establishment of water supply and sanitation system in Kurdakhani in accordance with “2011-2013 State Program for Socio-Economic Development of Baku and its settlements”. For financing the project the Government of Korean will allocate a grant in amount of 26,18 mln USD. The remaining costs of the project will be provided by the Government of Azerbaijan. 2 Nos reservoirs and pumping station will be constructed; 24,8km long water line and 24,8km long sanitation line will be laid at the expanse of the grant allocated by the Government of Korean. At the same time local experts are intended to attend training programs in South Korea.

         Korean experts said that ecological condition of the Absheron Peninsula and living standards of population will be developed as a result of reconstruction of water supply and sanitation system in Kurdakhani settlement. It also emphasized that this project plays very important role in developing bilateral cooperation between the countries.
