A new collector is constructed for improving sewerage system of Baku

      Comprehensive Action is being continued for improving sewerage systems of Baku and better protection of the ecology of the Caspian Sea by “Azersu” OJSC. As a part of the Action a new sewerage collector is laid along Hasan Aliyev Street. According to the project a new collector with length of 5872m is laid by GPR pipes DN 1400mm and a tunnel with length of 498m is drilled.

      As a result of implementation of the project begun in the second half of 2011wastewater from Nasimi, Binagadi and Yasamal districts will be transmitted to “Kharici Dairevi” collector in F.Kh.Khoyski Street by gravity and hence will be transmitted to Hovsan Aeration Station for treatment. Thus, transmission of wastewater from here to Caspian Sea will be prevented completely in rainy climates.

      In accordance with the project construction of new collector will be completed in early 2012.
