Issuing notifications by terminals has begun.

   “Azersu” OJSC has launched implementation of one more innovation to carry out exact water assessment. Now payment notifications on services of drinking water and sewerage systems are given to consumers on population group in Baku via handheld terminals. There is completely information about subscribers in information base of this apparatuses: name, address of the subscribers, number of registered, subscriber code, water meters, etc. After reading the latest indicators of water meters are compared previous data and notification on consumptions and borrowings published is presented to the client. At the same time, this information shall be immediately transmitted to the central database, and read. Whereas so far water meter indicators were read by officers and transmitted to database in local Sukanal Office. Thus, it was taking time to present notifications to subscribers.

       The new system also puts an end to disputes may arise between officers and subscribers as well as carelessness of the officer (not to read water meter indicator correctly, overdue notifications, etc.). For the present 10% of the officers on Baku city have been provided with handheld terminals. In the near future all officers in Baku, Sumgayit cities and Absheron region will be provided by handheld terminals.
