Irrigation of the onion field with an illegally laid water line was prevented

In accordance with the Action Plan on efficient use of water resources, measures are being taken to prevent illegal drinking water supply. During the control measures carried out by the employees of the Azerbaijan State Water Reserves Agency in Hovsan settlement of Surakhani district, it was discovered that an illegal water line was used to irrigate the onion field in the area called Denizkanari. So, Mashadi Hilal, a resident of the settlement, planted an onion field on a hectare of land. In the past, a legal water line was laid to the area based on the land document, and a meter was also installed. As there were doubts about the amount of water used in a large farm, the employees of the Azerbaijan State Water Reserves Agency inspected the area. It turned out that the entrepreneur built an illegal water line in addition to the nearby network with a 63 mm diameter pipe. The field was irrigated with the illegal line. The illegally built water line was completely canceled by the emergency brigade involved in the area. The discovered fact was registered and the damage was calculated. It was brought to the owner's attention that illegal supply of water is unacceptable. If this happens again, more serious measures will be taken.

The State Water Reserves Agency of Azerbaijan brings to the attention of citizens and entrepreneurs that such situations lead to the violation of hydraulic regimes in networks, serious water losses, and the deterioration of water supply to other subscribers living in those areas. In order to prevent such illegal situations, measures will be continued regularly, arbitrarily and off-meter lines will be canceled, and law enforcement agencies will be contacted to take strict control measures against individuals and legal entities who commit these acts.
