Discussions on climate change impact

In connection with the declaration of 2024 as the "Green World Solidarity Year", the next event on "Climate change impact in water-sensitive regions and solutions" was held in Shirvan by the State Water Reserves Agency of Azerbaijan.

Seymur Seyidov, Deputy Chairman of ADSEA "Azersu" OJSC brought the participants’ attention to the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 29) hosted by our country this year and said that this event is important in terms of setting new goals.

Speeches by Elmir Mammadli, Head of the Ecology Department of ADSEA "Azersu" OJSC, on "Climate change - the principle of international organizations", Gulnara Abbasova, deputy head of the National Hydro metrology Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, on "State strategy on climate change", Igor Sabitov, the representative of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, on "Measures taken for climate changes adaptation in the Republic of Uzbekistan" were made within the event.

The participants of the event inspected the Caspian Sea Water Desalination Complex in Khidirli village of Salyan region. The guests were informed about technological processes in the complex and plants grown with desalinated water.
