Members of the Public Council under "Azersu" OJSC visited the Jeyranbatan Ultrafiltration Water Treatment Plants Complex.
The members of the Public Council under "Azersu" OJSC visited the Jeyranbatan Ultrafiltration Water Treatment Plants Complex, which is considered the most modern facility in the drinking water sector of Azerbaijan.
As part of familiarizing with the complex, the guests were provided with detailed information about the construction of the complex and the water treatment processes here. It was reported that the complex, the foundation of which was laid by President Ilham Aliyev in 2011, was put into operation in 2015 with the participation of the head of the country. In the complex with a productivity of 6.6 cubic meters per second or 570 thousand cubic meters per day, water processing is carried out in 5280 membrane filters. Water is purified in a completely closed, automatic mode, mechanically, without any chemical treatment. The water processed here fully meets the standards accepted by the World Health Organization and other international organizations. It was noted that this complex provides high-quality drinking water to Baku city and the greater part of the Absheron peninsula, more than 1 million residents in total.
As part of the acquaintance with the complex, the guests watched the management processes in the central control system - SCADA room. Later, council members got acquainted with the laboratory of the complex.
The members of the Public Council under the "Azersu" OJSC noted that familiarization with the Jeyranbatan Ultrafiltration Water Treatment Plants Complex made a great impression on them and highly appreciated the opportunities of the infrastructure created here.
