In accordance with the State Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Regions approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, “Azersu” OJSC continues to implement projects to improve the supply of drinking water to the population in the regions. Within the framework of these projects, a new sub-artesian well is put into operation in the Gayidish IDP settlement of Fizuli region.

Drinking water supply of 1,2,3,4 and 5 Gayidish settlements was carried out from sub-artesian well in Boyuk Bahmanli village of Fizulu region. The 273 mm diameter transmission main from the well zone to the settlements was in an emergency situation due to long-term operation. Therefore, there were interruptions in supply of drinking water to IDP settlements, caused serious water losses as well.

To ensure the stability of the drinking water supply in the settlements, the specialists of “Azersu” OJSC conducted research and decided to drill a new sub-artesian well in the nearest area. Due to the internal resources of “Azersu” OJSC, the drilling of the well was completed in a short time and it was supplied with electricity. The productivity of the new well and the quality of the water obtained from it will provide 967 subscribers with sustainable drinking water in the 1,2,3,4 and 5th Gayidish settlements.
