A meeting held with representatives of the Japanese company “Tokyo Engineering Consultants”

A meeting with representatives of Tokyo Engineering Consultants, a consultant for the “Small Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Project” between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency was held at “Azersu” OJSC.

Etibar Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC, said that the Japanese government and companies are closely involved in infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan and highly appreciated the role of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in the implementation of water supply and sewerage reconstruction projects. It was noted that drinking water supply and wastewater systems in Gusar, Khachmaz, Khizi, Gobustan and Naftalan were reconstructed within the “Small Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Project” co-financed by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

Naoto Toda, a representative of the consulting company, emphasized the successful implementation of the "Small Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Project" and noted that the projects implemented have improved the social welfare and living conditions of the population: The loan agreement for the “Small Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Project” expires at the end of this year, so I will leave Azerbaijan. I have worked in your country for more than 10 years and I am very pleased to cooperate with “Azersu” OJSC. ”

It should be noted that water supply and sewerage systems have been reconstructed in 5 cities and regional centers (Gusar, Khachmaz, Khizi, Gobustan, Naftalan) within the "Small Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Project" co-financed by the Government of Azerbaijan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. New water sources have been created, reservoir complexes, transmission mains, drinking and wastewater networks, collectors and wastewater treatment plants have been built in these cities.
