A meeting of the working group held within the "Drinking and Waste Water" project

A meeting of the working group on the project on preparation of technical water for irrigation of parks and green areas in Sumgayit was held within the "Drinking and Waste Water" project implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The meeting was attended by representatives of “Azersu” OJSC, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and Sumgayit City Executive Power. At the same time, the management of the utility department of the German city of Ludwigshafen joined the event online. The meeting was attended by the head of the working group, head of the Central Laboratory of “Azersu” OJSC, Elchin Aliyev, head of the Technological Process Control, Water Safety and Ecology Department Jamil Babayev and Khalid Abasov, head of the Wastewater Networks Operation Department.

The possibilities of using wastewater to irrigate greenery were discussed within the event. It was decided to exchange experience in Hovsan, Bibiheybat and Mushvigabad settlements after getting acquainted with the areas where wastewater is treated and green areas are used for irrigation.
