The number of “Azersu” OJSC subscribers increased within January-September

Within January-September 2021, the number of subscribers of “Azersu” OJSC increased by 55,709 or 3.5 percent. As of October 1, 2021, 1,663,320 subscribers across the country have been registered as users of water and sewerage services. 1598908 or 96.1% of subscribers are of population group, 64412 or 3.9% are non-population group. During the reporting period, the number of population subscribers increased by 53,431 or 3.5 percent, and the number of non-population subscribers increased by 2,278 or 3.7 percent.

The increase in the number of subscribers for 9 months was mainly due to the connection of consumers to centralized drinking and wastewater networks, the registration of owners of newly built individual houses as subscribers, as well as the detection of illegal use of drinking water and sewerage services.

As of October 1, 2021, 86.9% of “Azersu” OJSC subscribers have been provided with meters. Currently, metering level for population groups is 86.7% and for non-population groups is 94.4%.
