Citizens who travel to the regions or abroad for summer vacations sometimes receive notifications with more water consumption than they actually use when they return from vacation. In this case, there become disagreements between the citizen and the employees of the water department. But what is really happening, what should subscribers do if they face such a situation?

Anar Jabrayilli, Head of Public Relations Department of “Azersu” OJSC responded to Trend News Agency's question in this connection that the calculation of the consumption for the consumers with mechanical water meters is made on "Rules of water use" of the Cabinet of Ministers" in case when there is nobody in the house or the consumer reject to open the door. Average monthly consumption is determined according to the volume of water used in the last 12 months and an invoice is submitted accordingly. When the actual meter reading is read at the same address next month, the information systems are programmatically verified without the human factor. If you used 10 cubic meters of water in a month and the average monthly consumption is 15 cubic meters, there is an excess of 5 cubic meters consumption. In this case, if 15 cubic meters of water was used in the apartment next month, the invoice will automatically show 10 cubic meters. In other words, the consumption of 5 cubic meters, which was calculated last month, is adjusted by deducting the consumption used this month. "

“Azersu” OJSC regularly draws to attention the information in this direction; posters and videos are prepared and shared on social networks. At the same time, the submitted notices contain information that the report corresponds to the average consumption, as there were no conditions for reading the watermeter.

In addition, one of the 19 e-services provided by “Azersu” OJSC is the e-service "Submission of meter readings and formation of invoices by consumers by population group" was provided to subscribers. They can get an electronic invoice according to the actual volume of water they use by taking a picture of the meters, writing the seal and meter number, posting other required information on the website of “Azersu” OJSC (www.azersu.az), e-water portal (www.e-su.az), e-government portal (www .e-gov.az), as well as the Messenger section of the Facebook page of “Azersu” OJSC.
