A drinking water project is being implemented in Binagadi district

“Azersu” OJSC continues to implement projects to improve the supply of drinking water to the population in Baku and surrounding settlements. A new project has been launched in Binagadi settlement of Binagadi district due to the internal resources of the company. Centralized water supply systems are being established in the residential area on the right side of the Binagadi-Khirdalan highway due to the internal resources of “Azersu” OJSC.

There were no centralized water supply systems in the residential area. In one part of the area, water lines have been laid by the population individually, and these lines did not meet construction standards. Frequent accidents in individual networks led to disruption of stable hydraulic regimes in the system, serious water losses, as well as certain risks to water quality. In areas without a network, residents had to buy drinking water by trucks.

To provide residents with sustainable and quality drinking water, “Azersu” OJSC has launched a new project. Within the project, all individual water lines that do not meet the operational requirements in the area will be liquidated. A 5.7 km long drinking water network with pipes of different diameters is being created here. About 500 individual houses and facilities will be connected to the new network and meters will be installed in the project area.

The construction is expected to be completed by October this year.

It should be noted that, besides Binagadi district, implementation of projects to improve the supply of drinking water in Absheron, Sabail, Sabunchu, Surakhani, Khazar districts, as well as in the villages and settlements of Hajigabul, Saatli, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Neftchala, Bilasuvar and Tovuz regions are in progress due to the internal resources of “Azersu” OJSC.
