Elections to the Public Council under “Azersu” OJSC is to be held on May 25, 2021

Elections to the Public Council under “Azersu” OJSC will be held on May 25, 2021. Voting will take place from 10 am to 03 pm in the administrative building of “Azersu” OJSC (67 Moscow Avenue).

16 candidates have been nominated and registered for the Public Council elections.

Until May 15, 2021, 64 representatives of civil society institutions have applied to the Election Commission of the Public Council under “Azersu” OJSC to participate as voters. Later, on the basis of the enquiry of the “Healthy Live” Youth Enlightenment Public Union, the registration of Hasanov Sadig Huseyn oglu and Hasanli Surayya Sadiq kizi who was registered as a voter from that organization, were canceled.

It should be noted that the Public Council under “Azersu” OJSC is established by the order No. 158 dated March 17, 2021 of the Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC. The Public Council will act as an advisory body with the right to make proposals and other rights established by law in order to ensure public participation and control over the activities of “Azersu” OJSC.
