“Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Guba ”

     The Project “Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Guba” had been realized at the expense of state budget. The project is estimated to improve 46000 residents’ drinking water supply and sewerage systems considering perspective development by 2035.

The Project “Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Guba” have launched in September 2011. To ensure Guba city and surrounding residential settlements with drinking water a drainage water intake facility with a capacity of 200 liters per second and 2435 meters length was constructed and 2 transmission mains with a length of 6450 were laid in Gudyalchay’s bed.

Within the project, four water reservoirs with a total capacity of 14,000 cubic meters, 190 km of drinking water, 130 km of sewerage networks were built in Guba, meters were installed for each subscriber. A new administrative building was built for the Guba Sukanal Office according to the project.

Implementation of the project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Guba was completed in 2013. The opening ceremony of the project was held on September 18, 2013 with President Ilham Aliyev’s participation. At present all urban population is provided with continuous drinking water.

    Wastewater in the city will be purified at the wastewater treatment plant with productivity 70000 cubic meters per day that will be constructed in the territory of Khachmaz and dumped.

Within the project, drinking water was provided to the Girmizi Gasaba, Timiryazev and Mirzamammad villages, where about 10,000 people live.

 

 “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Hajigabul "

The Project “Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Hajigabul” was realized at the expense of the state budget. The project is estimated to improve 30000 people’s drinking water supply and sanitation services considering perspective development by 2035. The project reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Hajigabul had been launched in September of 2011. The Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline was selected as the water source of the city.

Two water reservoirs with a total capacity of 7500 cubic meters and 8.8 km of transmission mains were built for the purpose of sustainable water supply of Hajigabul city. 115 km of drinking water network has been established in the city, counters have been set up for each subscriber. At present all urban population is provided with continuous drinking water. Within the project, drinking water was provided to Gubali Baloglan village, where 3,000 people live. On April 16, 2013, a ceremony was held for the drinking water supply from the Shirvan-Mugan water pipeline to Hajigabul with the participation of the President Ilham Aliyev.

Wastewater in the city will be purified and removed at the waste water treatment plant with capacity of 24,000 cubic meters per day to be constructed in the future.

 

The Project “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Imishli” 

     The project “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Imishli” has been implemented at the expense of state budget. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of 49000 users in the city taking into account the population growth as of 2035.

Work under “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Imishli” launched in September 2011. Sub-artesian wells in the Ashigallar village of Beylagan region were selected to supply Imishli and its surrounding villages with drinking water. 31 km of transmission main was laid from the water source to Imishli and routes for each of the 5 villages along the pipeline were issued.

Two water reservoirs with capacity of 5000 and 1500 cubic meters were constructed in Imishli city and on October 28, 2012 a ceremony of commissioning of a water reservoir complex in Imishli was held with President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

According to the project, 168 km of drinking water network was built in the city, counters were installed and each subscriber was given a merger. The 9 km section of the 141-kilometer sewerage network was built. Water supply to Yalavac village near the city center has also been provided within the project.


The Project “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Shamkir”

The project “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Shamkir” is realized at the expense of the state budget. “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Shamkir” is calculated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of 47 thousand people taking account of the perspective development and growth by 2035.

 Construction work has launched in October, 2011. At the initial stage, a new drainage system was built in the basin of Jayir River, 15 km transmission main and the lines between tanks were built. Four new reservoirs with a total capacity of 7,000 cubic meters were constructed and 2 existing warehouses were repaired. A ceremony for drinking water supply to the city of Shamkir with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation was held on September 10, 2013.

To provide the city of Shamkir with stable drinking water at the expense of another source- Shamkirchay source a 16.5-kilometer-long trunk water pipeline was built from the water reservoir to the city of Shamkir in 2015.

A large part of the 250-kilometer inland water network and 205 km of sewerage network were built in Shamkir. Currently, most of the urban population receives water through the newly-established network.

Wastewater in the city will be purified and dumped in the wastewater treatment plant with the capacity of 25000 cubic meters per day to be constructed in the future.

  On September 10, 2013, a ceremony for drinking water supply to the city of Shamkir was held with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

 

The Project “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Mingachevir”

 The project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewerage systems in Mingachevir city was launched in October 2011 under the state program of socio-economic development of regions approved by President Ilham Aliyev. The project, which is being implemented at the expense of the state budget, has been calculated to improve 151000 people’s drinking water and sanitation services in Mingachevir, with perspective development up to 2035.    

Mingachevir reservoir was selected as a source to supply Mingachevir with drinking water, and a modern water treatment facility was designed nearby. At the initial stage, a main carrier belt with a length of 800 mm and a 721-meter-long pipe was constructed in the lake to deliver the water to the cleaner. The location of the cleaning device has been selected so that even if the water level in the lake will be drop a minimum, the water will be sent to facility in a self-flowing regime.

To provide consumers with quality drinking water, a modern type sand filter treatment plant with capacity of 55,000 cubic meters per day or 636 liters per second have been built near the Mingachevir at 55 meters above sea level. Here, water purification is carried out without the use of any chemical reagents and its quality indicators fully comply with the standards of the World Health Organization.

The processing here is fully automated and operated from a single center with the SCADA system. It is automatically controlled with the help of sensors to the input and output parameters of the water in the fully operational mode. A pump station with a capacity of 2100 cubic meters per hour located at a height of relief has been installed to deliver fresh water to the water tanks.

A water reservoir with an altitude of 85 meters above sea level was built to optimize the water and distribute it in a self-propelled regime. At present, the treated water is transmitted to the tanks and transferred to the urban network in a self-contained mode. In the future it is planned to supply drinking water to Yevlakh city and surrounding villages. To this end, the construction of a new 35 km long transmission main and two reservoirs with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters was planned from Mingachevir reservoir to Yevlakh.

Construction of 344 km of drinking water network in Mingachevir city has been completed and metering work is underway. At present, the urban population, as well as the IDP settlement number 2 are provided with quality drinking water through the newly built network.

On February 27, 2018 President Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony of putting into operation the drinking water supply system in Mingachevir city.

103 km of the 236 km sewerage network and 21 km sewerage collector were built in the city. In order to optimize waste water management, 3 sewage pumping stations with capacity of 1300 cubic meters per hour were installed and put into operation at the initial stage. In the future, construction of 4 new sewage pumping stations with a capacity of 3256 cubic meters per hour is planned at different points on the network. Waste water to be generated in Mingachevir will be removed to the waste water treatment plant with productivity of 60000 cubic meters of waste per day to be constructed in the Hacıselli village of Yevlakh region.

Two orders were signed by President Ilham Aliyev to continue the work on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Mingachevir city. According to the decrees signed on 29 August 2017 and 07 February 2018, 21.5 million AZN was allocated to the “Azersu” OJSC for the completion of the reconstruction of water supply system and reconstruction of the sewage system in Mingachevir .

 

The Project “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system in Zardab”

"The project of reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Zardab city" is carried out at the expense of the state budget. The project is designed to improve the use of drinking water and sanitation services in the city of Zardab by up to 13500 people, taking into account perspective development until 2035. 

The project was launched in August 2011. Kulullu water source was selected to supply Zardab and its surrounding villages with drinking water. There are 1 water reservoir with a capacity of 5000 cubic meters in each water source and a 73 km transmission main from the tank to Zardab. On October 7, 2012, a ceremony was held for water supply to Zardab with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

A water reservoir with capacity of 2,000 cubic meters was built in Zardab, 69 km of drinking water network was built, meters were installed for each subscriber. At present, residents of the city are provided with drinking water 24 hours a day.

The 13 km section of intended 58 km sewerage network was built in Zardab. Wastewater generated in Zardab will be cleaned and dumped at the wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 8,000 cubic meters of waste per day constructed outside the city.

 

“Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system compound of Kurdamir”

   Work under “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Kurdamir” is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of totally 48 thousand including 22300 users in Kurdamir city and 26 thousand people in 14 villages of Kurdamir district and 13 villages of Agsu district  taking into account the population growth as of 2035.

    The project launched in October 2011 is funded at the expense of state budget. In accordance with the project Kulullu water source in Agsu region will supply Kurdamir population with drinking water. Drinking water of 120l/s will be transmitted from Kulullu water source to Kurdamir. With this purpose water intake drainage facility was constructed and transmission main of 27 km was laid for transmission of water by gravity. At the same time a reservoir with capacity of 7500m3 was built.

    The project also includes construction of water network of 131,5km, carrying out of 6 thousand house connections, installation of pre-paid smart-card water meters, and installation of 90 fire-hydrants.

   Following the project construction of sewerage network of 114,6km is being continued. Wastewater of the city will be discharged to the wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 30 000 m3/day through sewerage collector of 6,3km. Presently construction of wastewater treatment plant and sewerage collector is continued.

   On August 7 2013 a ceremony to supply drinking water to Kurdamir city was held by participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

 

“Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems of Ujar”

   Work on “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems of Ujar” was commenced in October 2011. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of 21543 people in Ujar city, 35067 people in 22 villages taking into account population growth as of 2035. In accordance with the project Ujar will be supplied with drinking water from Kulullu water source located in Agsu. Construction of water intake drainage facility, and DN500-600mm transmission main of 57km is nearing completion. According to the project this transmission main will supply 22 villages with drinking water. At the same time distributional network of 152km, 2 reservoirs with capacity of 3000m3 each will be constructed. Following the project sewerage network of 87,7km will be laid, 15 sewerage pumping stations will be built. A wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 8000m3/day will be constructed for treatment of wastewater.

 

“Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Gakh”

    “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Bilasuvar” is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of 14 thousand people in Gakh city and drinking water services of 7500 people in Gakhbash and Gakhingloy villages taking into account population growth as of 2035. The foundation of the complex was laid in a ceremony attended by President Ilham Aliyev on 17 November 2011.

   In accordance with the project springs located near Ilisu village is used as water source. In order to collect spring water a water intake facility with a capacity of 80 liters per second has been built in the area. A transmission main of 6,7km has been laid from here to Gakh city. To provide Gakh city with continuous drinking water, six reservoirs with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters each have been built as well. Presently work on construction of distributional lines of 119km, connection of 5900 house to the network and water metering is being continued.  

   According to the project, a sewage system is being put in place in Gakh for the first time. For this purpose, a sewage collector of 17km has been built. Construction of the sewerage network of 89,5km is being continued. Wastewater will be discharged into Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 8,000 cubic meters per day, which will be built on the outskirts of the city.

   On September 16, 2013 a ceremony to mark the supply of drinking water to the city took place in Gakh by participiation of President Ilham Aliyev.

 

“Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Lankaran”

   “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Lankaran” has been designed with a view to future development as of 2035 and is intended to improve water and sanitation services provided to 96 thousand people including 82 thousand residents of Lankaran city, 14 thousand residents of the villages of Shilavar, Digah, Veladi, Sutamurdov and Goyshaban. The city will receive 348 liters of water per second, which will fully meet the needs of its residents.

   İn accordance with the project the Khanbulanchay water reservoir has been selected as a source of drinking water for the city of Lankaran and surrounding villages. A water intake facility with sand filters with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day has been established for supplying Lankaran city with derinking water on “24 hours a day” basis. At the same time 2 water reservoirs with the capacity of 10,000 cubic meters each has been constructed and a transmission main of 11, 6km laid. A distributional lines of 233km will be laid. According to the project 15thousand house connections will be carried out and every user will be provided with pre-paid smart-card meter. A sewerage lines of 197km will be constructed. The construction of a sewage microtunnel 9,4 km in length is continuing. Wastewater of the city will be discharged into Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity of 40 thousand per day to be built in the future.

   On September 5, 2013 President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended a ceremony to mark the supply of drinking water to the city.


“Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems of Bilasuvar”

    Work under “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems of Bilasuvar” launched in October, 2011. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of 26 thousand people in the city taking into account population growth as of 2035.

   In accordance with the project Bilasuvar city is supplied with drinking water from Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline system.  With this purpose a transmission main of 57km was laid using DN 500mm to DN710 pipes from reservoir located near Salyan city. For supplying Bilasuvar city with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis 2 reservoirs with the capacity of 10000 m3 each will be built. Under the new project, the city will receive 158 liters of water per second, which will fully satisfy the needs of consumers.

  Construction of  water distribution network of 89km in Bilasuvar has been fully completed and all 4,430 households have been connected to it. 4300 customers have been provided with pre-paid smart-card water meters. 240 fire-hydrants have been installed.

   According to the project,  a sewage network is being put in place in Bilasuvar for the first time ever. The construction of the sewage network of 87,5km  a sewage microtunnel of 3km continues. Waste water will be drained into the treatment plant with the capacity of 24 thousand m3 per day  to be built on the outskirts of the city.

   On September 4, 2013 President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the ceremony to mark the supply of drinking water to Bilasuvar city.
